AmeriCorps*State is a federal program that puts idealism to work in the United States and its territories.  Funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) and adminstered through the Iowa Commission on Volunteer Services (ICVS), the AmeriCorps*State program is dedicated to expanding service in America and providing challenging and rewarding opportunities to members.

AmeriCorps*State members voluntarily dedicate up to a year of their time to help non-profits accomplish more.  Members serving with Habitat for Humanity make important contributions to the advancement of Habitat for Humanity's mission - eliminating poverty housing conditions throughout the state.  They help build homes, train partner families, assist in ReStores, recruit volunteers, organize events, and much more.
