  • State Building Code Bureau
    • Per the requirements of the grant, all newly constructed units must meet the requirements of all local codes, standards and ordinances.  In the absence of locally adopted and enforced building codes, newly constructed units must meet the requirements of the State Building Code.  All newly constructed units must also meet the International Energy Conservation Code. This must be done prior to beginning construction.
    • For forms and more information visit the State Building Code Bureau's website.

  • Iowa Contractor's Law

The State of Iowa requires that "construction contractors" register with the Iowa Division of Labor, and renew that registration annually.  This will be a requirement for all affiliates involved in the current 2008 Housing fund as well as those who wish to participate in the 2010 Housing fund.
